About Andy Juhl

In Andy Juhl's early work, there's a clear Neil Young analog - from the harmonica over acoustic and electric guitar combined with a natural, folky song structure. Andy's clear, sincere tenor vocals and tasteful use of the Bigsby-style tremolo in lead guitar lines are also reminiscent of Young, although Andy's vocal and guitar versatility is expansive - from interesting vocal harmonies to fantastic effect driven guitar, combined with tasty melodies and atmosphere.

More recently, Andy has been substituting the guitar for synthesized sounds, but heart-felt lyrics, hum-able melodies at once catchy and earnest, juxtaposed with uncommon musicianship - and a penchant for experimenting with unconventional and mixed meters - continue to be hallmarks of his work.
